AISI 430F introduction :
AISI 430F is a kind of stainless steel used in a variety of aircraft parts .AISI 430F is also named ferritic Stainless Steel .The machinability of AISI 430F is far superior to that of the ferritic 17% chromium steel, AISI 430F as a result of the controlled sulphur addition to this grade of steel. The addition of sulphur however reduces the resistance to corrosion, and as such AISI 430F is significantly more resistant to corrosion than AISI 430F, despite their similar chromium contents. It should ben noted that as a result of the sulphur addition, neither minimum impact properties, nor elevated temperature properties are specified .
